Spring Thaw is an annual literary and arts magazine produced by faculty and students at Minnesota North College - Itasca in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. It has published continuously since 1970.  

Spring Thaw looks to publish work from both emerging and established writers and artists. We seek work from a variety of voices and styles; however, works firmly anchored in genre (romance, sci-fi, fantasy, etc.) are unlikely to be accepted.

Our authors and artists celebrate nature, culture, and place. Along with those contributors exhibiting the regional flair of our northern Minnesota landscape, we also welcome the world beyond those reaches and the universal experiences all communities share.
